Setting up the JCasino component is very easy. Just follow these steps and you will have the casino games on your website in just a matter of minutes.
First you will have to create a menu item type for the casino game you wish to publish. You can create a new menu or use an existing menu and publish as many casino games in this menu as possible. In this tutorial we'll create just one menu called "Casino Games" with menu items types for each casino game.
Joomla 1.5.x- In the administrator backend go to Menus > Menu Manager and select the button "New".
- Give your menu a name, for example "Casino Games" and select the button "Save".
- By following this step Joomla! automaticly creates a new module called "Casino Games" which we will modify later on.
- In the Menu Manager select your new menu and hit the Menu Item(s) icon.You will be taken to the Menu Item Manager.
- In the Menu Item Manager select the button "New". Now click on "JCasino" in the list of menu item types and choose the "Default game layout" option.
- On the right you can select your casino game from the dropdown list. Give your new Menu Item the same name as the casino game you have picked from the dropdown list and hit the "Save" button.
- Repeat these steps for as many casino games you would like to publish.
To make sure that the newly created menu items (casino games) are visable on your website, you will need to assign these to your new menu module.
- In the administrator backend go to Extensions > Module Manager.
- Select your new menu module (the name should be the same as the name of your new menu) and choose "Edit".
- Make sure that all of your casino games are assigned to the right menu under "Menu assignment" and that the module is published.
You can also create articles for each casino game or just one article for all casino games. Assign the article(s) to the menu item types in the module settings of the new menu module just like we did above.
Joomla 2.5.xInstalling JCasino for Joomla 2.5 is slightly different.
- In the administrator backend go to Menus > Menu Manager > Add New Menu.
- Give your menu a name, for example "Casino Games" and select the button "Save & Close".
- In the Menu Manager select your new menu and hit the button "New" for creating a new menu item.
- Click on the "Select" icon after the line called "Menu Item Type". Select "Standard Game Layout" (under JCasino) in the popup window that appears.
- Now under "Basic Options" on the right side of the screen you can select your casino game from the dropdown list.
- Give your new Menu Title the same name as the casino game you have picked from the dropdown list and hit the "Save & Close" button.
- Repeat these steps for as many casino games you would like to publish.
To make sure that the newly created menu items are visable on your website, you will need to assign these to a new menu module.
- In the administrator backend go to Extensions > Module Manager.
- Create a new menu module by selecting the "New" button and select "Menu" as the desired Module Type.
- Now under "Basic Options" on the right side of the screen you need to select the new menu you created in the steps above.
- Give the module a name (should be the same as the name of your new menu) and also select a position for the module display and choose "Save & Close".
- Make sure that all of your casino games are assigned to the right menu under "Menu assignment" and that the module is published.
